What is FindPenguins?

Why do participants of S.A.C. rallyes need the FindPenguins App? 

In order to appear on the official S.A.C. Live Tracking Map, all team chefs are required to create a FindPenguins profile for their team.

How do I create a FindPenguins trip to capture my S.A.C. adventure? 

Click the button “Sign up for S.A.C. Live Tracking” and connect your FindPenguins trip with the according S.A.C. rallye.

How do I activate the automatic FindPenguins Travel Tracker? 

Activate the automatic travel tracker during the rallye start in order to track your route automatically. All you need is the FindPenguins App, where you can find the travel tracker icon on the very top of your travel profile. Click on it and active the tracker for your rallye. There is no internet connection required for the automatic tracking.

How can I add team members to my S.A.C. adventure on FindPenguins? 

Open your S.A.C. rallye’s trip settings and select “Add fellow traveler”. You can use the search function to find people. Please note that your team members need a FindPenguins profile and follow you before you can add them to your trip. As soon as you added a team member, s(he) is verified as an official S.A.C. participant.

How do I change the team logo? 

Tap the button “Sign up for S.A.C. Live Tracking” again. There you can see your current connection to the tracking and also you can change your logo.

What is a “Footprint“ post and how do I create it? 

Posts on FindPenguins are called “Footprints”, with your stories, the date, your favourite photos or videos and the location. Footprint posts represent an experience at a certain place. How can I share my rallye profile? 

Open your S.A.C. adventure’s trip settings and select “Share trip” from the menu.

Who can see my trip?

Are there any costs involved? 

No, FindPenguins is free of costs during as well as after your S.A.C. participation.

What happens to my FindPenguins account after the rallye? 

Your account can be used for private purposes after the rallye.
