Nun hat es mich doch erwischt: Malaria. In Luanda hab ich es mir schon gedacht, aber auf die zwei negativen Schnelltests gehört und hab mich auf den Weg gemacht. Nachdem unterwegs mein Energie gegen null ging, hab ich das nächste Krankenhaus aufgesucht. Diagnose war schnell da und ich hab auch gleich die Meds bekommen die ich drei Tage schlucken muss. Die erste Nacht hab ich noch in meinem Zelt am Krankenhaus verbracht und am nächsten Tag hatte eine Ärztin Mitleid mit mir und mich für zwei Tage nicht nur aufgenommen, sondern rund um gepflegt. Mega, dass es solche Menschen gibt.

Now it got me: malaria. I thought so in Luanda, but listened to the two negative rapid tests and set off. After my energy went to zero on the way, I went to the nearest hospital. The diagnosis was there quickly and I got the meds right away, which I have to swallow for three days. I spent the first night in my tent at the hospital and the next day a doctor took pity on me and not only admitted me for two days, but cared for me all around.
